Company profile

A voice, a screen and software assembled around one person

Dynavox Group owns Tobii Dynavox, whose assistive-communication systems combine speech-generating devices, eye tracking, communication software and training. The user may select words with eye gaze, touch or switches, then use the same set-up to speak, browse, call or control a computer. Products reach homes, schools and clinics through local teams and specialist partners, while prescribers, families and funders shape which combination is assessed and adopted.

Access and devices

Eyes, touch or switches become the input

TD I-Series turns eye gaze into speech and Windows control, with outdoor tracking and a rear Partner Window for face-to-face conversation. TD Pilot brings eye-controlled communication to iPadOS; PCEye adds gaze control to a Windows computer. A calibration tutorial shows the practical step between placing the hardware and selecting small targets reliably.

Software in daily life

One set-up can speak, browse and handle a phone

TD Snap supplies page sets for symbol, text, scanning and other communication approaches. TD Control replaces mouse and keyboard actions with eye gaze; TD Browse is an eye-operated web browser; TD Phone connects an I-Series to a mobile by Bluetooth. Jordi's official story makes the stack concrete: a partner introduced him to I-Series, voice personalisation and web access after his ALS/MND clinic referral.

From assessment to everyday use

Home, school and clinic teams shape the solution

Ava's family uses TD Snap, an I-13 at home and outdoors, and a portable PCEye at school; her parents and sister model the communication system with her. More broadly, funding may begin with a multidisciplinary assessment involving therapists, a doctor and a service provider. Product tutorials and the Learning Hub then help users, caregivers and professionals configure, calibrate and learn the technology.

Reach and route to market

Local expertise sits inside a 65-country reach

Dynavox Group reports customers in more than 65 countries. It describes education for prescribers, smoother funding and partnerships as three strategic levers. Direct offices cover markets including the United States, Sweden, Norway and the United Kingdom; elsewhere, trained partners supply the portfolio and provide local knowledge of funding, support and training. The route to market is therefore specialist and locally adapted, not a single global sales channel.

Current 2026 update

What is changing at Dynavox Group in 2026?

Dynavox is tightening the route from product to user. Acquired European operations are moving toward direct local control, U.S. prescriptions remain a bottleneck before shipment, and a legal complaint concerns alleged practices around delivery, support, reimbursement and brand use surrounding its devices.

The change in one sentence

Distribution, access workflow and the supported-service bundle are changing together.

The European integrations address who manages local delivery; the North American issue concerns how long prescribed solutions take to reach shipment; the AbleNet complaint concerns alleged practices around delivery, support, reimbursement and branding. Completed acquisition, operating integration and legal adjudication remain different stages.

Four lenses on 2026

The same four-quadrant format used in the Company profile.

01 · The European route to market

Italy is acquired, while the wider European integration remains in progress

Dynavox completed the acquisition of Italian reseller SR Labs Healthcare on 1 April. In the Q2 update, management said recently acquired businesses in Germany, France and Italy were still being integrated and the group was taking the final steps in a unified ERP transition. The issuer said the full underlying momentum was not yet visible in the financials and did not provide a completion date or country-level operating metrics.

  • Current signalItaly acquired · three-country integration and unified ERP still in progress
  • Why it mattersDirect local operations can change control over sales, funding knowledge and support, but acquisition completion is not the same as completed operating integration.

02 · The access bottleneck

North American delay begins in the prescription process, before shipment

Dynavox says North American Q2 revenue benefited partly from orders delayed in Q1, while prescription processes remained more drawn out than before. The company strategy identifies education for prescribers and decision-makers, improved funding systems and partnerships as levers for reaching more users. The Q2 release does not quantify prescription time, approval rates, funded devices or the split between recovered orders and current demand.

  • Current signalDelayed Q1 orders partly recovered · prescription timing still longer
  • Why it mattersFor prescribed assistive communication, demand does not become a delivered solution until assessment, prescription, funding and fulfilment work together.

03 · The supported-service model

The AbleNet complaint concerns delivery, support, reimbursement and brand use

Dynavox Group AB and wholly owned Tobii Dynavox LLC filed a U.S. complaint against AbleNet in May. The plaintiffs allege business interference, deceptive trade practices, unfair competition, trademark infringement and unjust enrichment. The issuer says the disputed practices risk confusion around delivery, support and reimbursement of speech-generating devices and unauthorized use of the Tobii Dynavox brand. These are company allegations in a complaint, not adjudicated findings; no outcome or remedy is disclosed.

  • Current signalComplaint filed · allegations unadjudicated
  • Why it mattersThe complaint concerns delivery, support, reimbursement and brand use around devices. Separately, Dynavox's wider integrated offer includes devices, software, clinically developed language systems, mounting, training, support and funding expertise; not every component is confirmed to be at issue in this proceeding.

04 · What to watch

Three questions for the next disclosures

Three questions track whether local integration and access processes translate into supported communication solutions.

  • European integrationDoes Dynavox complete the unified ERP and operating integrations across Germany, France and Italy, with country-level milestones?
  • U.S. accessDoes Dynavox disclose shorter prescription cycles, approval rates or funded-device volumes in North America?
  • Legal outcomeDoes the AbleNet proceeding produce a ruling, settlement or change in licensing, reimbursement, delivery or support practices?
