NewPrinces is a vertically integrated food-and-beverage and retail group. It combines 32 manufacturing facilities, more than 30 key brands and over 1,000 Italian stores across categories ranging from pasta, canned fish and tomatoes to beverages, dairy and specialised nutrition. Its portfolio links historic consumer names with contract manufacturing, research, product development and distribution.

Plants across the group make pasta, pulses and tomato preserves, canned fish and ready meals. The range also covers juices, soft drinks, spirits, dairy, bakery and infant nutrition; Napolina's recipe library shows how some of these products reach the kitchen.

Brands
Names with distinct market histories
Napolina brings pasta, tomatoes and oils to UK kitchens; Princes spans more than 350 food and drink products. Plasmon has specialised in infant nutrition since 1902 and operates a controlled raw-material programme launched in 1981. Birkel and 3 Glocken add German pasta histories dating to 1874 and 1884.

Princes Italia operates sites including Foggia, Eboli and Ozzano Taro; Princes Group is headquartered in Liverpool and Newlat in Mannheim. The network also reaches France, Poland and tuna operations in Mauritius.

NewPrinces links Princes Italia's manufacturing, Princes Retail's store network and specialist businesses such as Princes Ready to Drink and Plasmon. It serves branded retail, B2B contract manufacturing and Ho.Re.Ca., with co-development and R&D connecting product design to distribution.

Retail repositioning
Princes Retail moved its price index close to market parity, from 106 under Carrefour Italia to around 100, while improving its margin year on year.
New businesses enter the channels
Plasmon and Princes Ready to Drink entered the consolidation scope from 1 January, broadening activity across B2B and specialist food-service channels.
GS integration in progress
The GS Group remained in reorganisation, but NewPrinces reported better operating indicators and gradually lower costs from March.
Comparable operating performance
On the combined basis, Q1 revenue fell 6.6% to €1.50bn while EBITDA increased to €71.3m from €60.9m.
