Rosetti Marino is a Ravenna-based engineering group that grew from a one-worker mechanical workshop founded in 1925 into an international contractor. It combines in-house engineering, procurement, fabrication yards, offshore installation and technical services for conventional energy, offshore wind, carbon capture and energy-storage infrastructure, supported by specialist companies and operating bases outside Italy.

Rosetti Marino delivers topsides, jackets, living quarters, compression and utility modules, subsea structures and brownfield revamps. Its scope can run from FEED and detailed engineering through procurement, fabrication, commissioning, offshore installation, operations and maintenance, joining office engineering with its own construction yards.

Energy-transition projects
Build offshore wind foundations, hydrogen storage and carbon-capture platforms
For Nordsee II and Gode Wind 4, the group delivered a 60-metre jacket and a 30-metre transition piece. The Baseload Power Hub combines batteries, an electrolyser and a fuel cell inside an offshore wind farm. A Liverpool Bay project extends the portfolio to four structures for carbon capture and storage.

Projects and geography
Load out in Ravenna, then deliver from the North Sea to Tierra del Fuego
Tolmount paired a 5,000-tonne topside with a 75-metre jacket for the North Sea. Ravenna's FSRU terminal required an EPCIC receiving platform and mooring structures, while Fenix placed an 86-metre wellhead jacket off Tierra del Fuego. Owned and partner yards extend fabrication into Kazakhstan.

Heritage and operating model
Turn a blacksmith workshop into a network of engineering specialists
Marino Rosetti began with one worker on 1 April 1925. The Piomboni yard later opened the offshore-construction market; Fores Engineering added automation and electro-instrumental systems, while Basis and Tecon deepened multidisciplinary design. What is changing at Rosetti Marino in 2026?
A 5,200-plus-tonne gas-treatment module has moved from Ravenna fabrication to the Bouri field, and Rosetti's current project page labels its scope Completed. At Liverpool Bay, Rosetti's four-platform project is marked In progress within a wider CCS network that Eni said was more than 30% built in May. e-ROSS remains a pilot-scale technology programme rather than a commercial product.

01 · The offshore handover
A two-year Ravenna build has moved from yard to offshore integration
Saipem announced on 3 June that it had lifted the gas-treatment module onto Bouri's existing DP4 platform. The structure weighs more than 5,200 tonnes, measures approximately 45 by 31 by 45 metres and was fabricated by Rosetti in about two years. Saipem said the follow-on integration, hook-up and commissioning would be entrusted to Rosetti; Rosetti's current project page now labels its EPCIC scope Completed.

02 · The carbon-storage build
Four Liverpool Bay structures make carbon storage a live project
Rosetti's contract, valued at more than EUR 300 million, covers design, procurement, construction and load-out of four platforms, plus offshore hook-up and commissioning. Delivery is scheduled progressively from 2026 to 2028. Rosetti marks the project In progress with 2028 delivery; Eni said in May that more than 30% of Liverpool Bay CCS construction was complete and the network remained due to operate in 2028.

03 · The experimental edge
The 25 kW reactor is a scale-up experiment, not yet a product
Rosetti says e-ROSS has produced the detailed design of a 25 kW reactor and its pilot plant. The pilot is intended for Rosetti's facilities, where an approximately 12-month experimental campaign is meant to test operating conditions and validate the technology at TRL 5-6 before the project ends in June 2027. Renewable electricity powers the process that uses captured CO2 and green hydrogen to make syngas.
