Company profile

Devices, installer workflow and connected control in practice

Plejd is a Swedish controls and luminaire company built around the electrician. Compact modules and integrated fixtures install like traditional electrical products, connect through a wireless mesh and are configured in one app. The same platform lets households and smaller commercial sites manage lighting, electric underfloor heating and motorised window coverings with switches, scenes, schedules, sensors and remote integrations. Plejd develops the hardware, software, production automation and much of its volume production in-house in Mölndal.

Hardware and mesh

Pucks, sensors and Gateway form one wireless control layer

DIM-01 is a 46 × 46 × 18 mm universal dimmer that fits behind a switch, in a distribution box or at a ceiling fitting. The range adds DAL-01 DALI control, integrated luminaires and WMS-01 motion sensing. GWY-01 then connects the local mesh to Ethernet for remote control and integrations with Apple HomeKit, Google Home, Alexa, Homey and Abra.

Installer workflow

Install conventionally, configure in the app, hand over a system code

Plejd is designed for electricians: products retain the physical simplicity of traditional controls, while app setup replaces dip switches and complex programming. The installer configures the system and leaves its code on a sticker in the distribution box. An owner imports that code, then can invite owners, users or installers with different access. Product and software development is in-house, and many devices run on Plejd's production lines in Mölndal.

Everyday control

One app spans lighting, floor heat and window coverings

Users keep regular switches but can also create scenes, follow sunrise and sunset, set schedules and automate lighting with motion. TRM-01 adds touchscreen control of electric floor heating, day-and-night saving and Gateway-dependent vacation mode. JAL-01 controls 230 V roller shutters and external venetian blinds, including position, tilt, scenes, schedules and automatic end-stop calibration. Plejd's official English-on-screen films demonstrate both devices.

Homes to commercial

A Nordic installed base is moving into larger sites

Plejd reported two million systems and ten million devices in 2025; revenue was concentrated in Sweden (52.1%) and Norway (37.8%), with Finland, the Netherlands, Germany and other countries making up the rest. Its current focus is mainly properties up to about 1,000 m², with a stated plan to serve larger buildings. Cases already span a 300 m² Narvik villa, an eleven-floor Gothenburg office and Billingehus hotel.
