Grid engineering, specialist hardware and field delivery
Dalekovod is a Croatian engineering group that designs, manufactures and constructs electricity and transport infrastructure. Dalekovod-Projekt supplies engineering, Dalekovod OSO makes specialist overhead-line hardware, and Dalekovod d.d. delivers projects in the field. Its work ranges from 750 kV substations and long-distance transmission lines to railway electrification, with Norway and Sweden among its principal international markets.

Design, hardware and construction sit in one group
Dalekovod-Projekt prepares power, transport, renewable-energy and communications designs; engineers use drones plus optical, thermal and laser cameras for surveys and condition analysis. Dalekovod OSO supplies line hardware, while the construction business carries projects through assembly, testing and commissioning.

Equipment and systems
From laboratory-tested fittings to 750 kV substations
At Velika Gorica, Dalekovod OSO develops and tests fittings and damping systems for overhead networks, with an accredited laboratory supporting product verification. Project references extend from the multi-voltage Plat substation in Croatia to the 750/330 kV Kijevska installation in Ukraine and a 390 km, 500 kV line designed, supplied and built with local subcontractors in Kazakhstan.

Projects in the field
Fjords, German corridors and a Croatian railway
On Norway's Vik-Sogndal line, crews are installing 50-metre towers for a fjord crossing in demanding wind and terrain. In Germany, the Landesbergen-Borken programme covers a 30 km section of 380/220/110 kV rehabilitation. The Dugo Selo-Križevci railway combines 35 km of reconstructed track, 35 km of new track and four stations.

Recent project momentum
Three project milestones now sit beside investment financing
By 30 July, Dalekovod had announced a selected €135 million German grid bid, four signed Swedish design contracts worth nearly €30 million and covering nearly 600 km of 400 kV lines, a corrected notice covering consortium contracts totaling €53.76 million for a 131.25 MW wind farm and its grid connection in North Macedonia, and access to up to €81.5 million for planned investment projects. Selection, signed contracts and financing access are different stages and are presented separately.

Current 2026 update
What is changing at Dalekovod in 2026?
Dalekovod is stretching across more of the grid-project lifecycle. A selected German bid would add long-dated field scope; Swedish contracts move the design arm upstream; North Macedonia combines wind construction with a 400 kV connection; and a new financing agreement provides access to investment funds.

The four items sit at different stages and should not be collapsed into one pipeline figure. Germany is a selected offer, Sweden is signed design work, North Macedonia is signed consortium construction, and EUR 81.5 million is a financing-access ceiling whose drawdown and use are not disclosed.

01 · The German corridor
A selected offer would replace hardware across 45.4 km of double-circuit line
TenneT selected Dalekovod's offer for LOT1 of the 380 kV Ovenstädt-Eickum project after a tender. The scope is replacement of existing suspension and conductors on 45.4 km of double-circuit line between the two substations. Delivery is planned from 1 October 2026 to 30 September 2029 and the stated value is EUR 135 million. The release says selected offer; it does not say the contract was signed or work started.

02 · Different ends of the lifecycle
Swedish design and Macedonian construction show two different group roles
Dalekovod-Projekt leads Tyréns on four Svenska kraftnät programmes worth nearly EUR 30 million and covering nearly 600 km of 400 kV lines, from feasibility and concept work through detailed design, construction support and as-built documents; documentation runs to 2034 and overall completion as late as 2038. In North Macedonia, a Dalekovod-KONČAR consortium signed contracts totaling EUR 53.76 million for 21 wind turbines with 131.25 MW capacity, a 400/35 kV substation and a double 400 kV line to MEPSO. Dalekovod's share is not disclosed.

Dalekovod joins a group financing agreement for planned investment projects
KONČAR Group signed a EUR 320 million project-financing agreement with EBRD, IFC, PBZ and ZABA. Dalekovod is included in the arrangement and can access up to EUR 81.5 million for planned investment projects. The release does not identify the projects, amount already drawn, timing, conditions or allocation between execution, equipment and other capacity.
