Company profile

From a software event to a message on the customer's screen

Vercom is the Warsaw-listed communications-platform company behind enterprise products such as MessageFlow and self-service products such as MailerLite. Its platforms help developers, marketers and service teams send transactional alerts, campaigns and automated journeys by email, SMS, mobile or web push, RCS and messaging apps. This profile follows the message from API or campaign builder to delivery and response, while keeping Vercom's product perimeter distinct from shareholder cyber_Folks and separate e-commerce company Shoper.

Enterprise delivery

A password reset and a marketing campaign should not share the same queue

MessageFlow gives developers one REST API for email, SMS and push, while its Email API returns a message ID, sends delivery events through webhooks and can separate transactional traffic from bulk campaigns. MessageFlow Priority routes OTP, two-factor-authentication and security alerts through a dedicated path. Vercom's official case says energy supplier TAURON moved transactional and marketing communication to MessageFlow, integrated email and SMS, and sought secure, high-deliverability delivery for millions of Polish customers. The platform later joined Azure Marketplace.

Creators and small businesses

One builder covers newsletters, forms, sites and automations

Vercom acquired 100% of MailerLite in June 2022. The product lets small businesses and creators build newsletters, forms, landing pages, sites and automated journeys triggered by subscriber actions or purchases. MailerLite's Spoony case pairs MailerLite marketing with MailerSend transactional email for an app with more than 43,000 subscribers, aiming for one consistent brand across both. The official English tutorial walks through dashboards, campaign types, subscriber groups and segments, forms, sites and automations.

Push and re-engagement

Push can sit inside an existing marketing automation

Vercom lists PushPushGo in its portfolio and records a 2021 investment in the product. PushPushGo covers web, mobile, onsite, in-app and WhatsApp notifications. Its ActiveCampaign integration adds push actions to existing automations, maps subscribers through an external ID and returns sent, delivered and clicked events. In an English customer story, Slovenian publisher Dnevnik.si describes adding one code snippet, seeing reader traffic spike after each push and using the channel to bring visitors back. The linked English tutorial shows the integration setup.

Scale and product perimeter

131,200 customers, with a clearly defined product perimeter

In its Q1 2026 presentation Vercom reported 131,200 customers, up 34% year on year after 8,100 net additions, with services sold in 180 markets. Its portfolio lists MessageFlow, MailerLite, EmailLabs, SerwerSMS, FreshMail, PushPushGo, AppChance, Admetrics and ProfiSMS. MailerLite belongs here because Vercom acquired all of it. cyber_Folks appears in Vercom's dated shareholder record; Shoper appears in the Q1 2025 presentation as a cross-selling and integration partner. Neither is presented as a Vercom communications product.

Current 2026 update

What is changing at Vercom in 2026?

Vercom is turning AI assistants into a route into and through MailerLite, while MessageFlow adds WhatsApp, Viber and programmable RCS. Separately, the group reported 131,200 customers and said surplus gross profit was being reinvested in acquisition.

Latest official evidence Q1 product, channel and customer update Published 19 May 2026

The change in one sentence

AI assistants are becoming another interface for campaigns and conversations.

MailerLite MCP lets assistants act inside authorised accounts; MessageFlow broadens two-way channels; acquisition must turn higher signup volumes into retained paid use, while MCP requests measure activity inside accounts.

Four lenses on 2026

The same four-quadrant format used in the Company profile.

01 · MailerLite MCP

An AI assistant can now work inside a MailerLite account

Vercom's Q1 presentation says MailerLite signups grew 34% year on year, with a growing contribution from accounts created through AI agents, while daily MCP requests increased from about 95,000 in March to 285,000 in April. MailerLite's current MCP page says users can connect assistants such as Claude or Gemini to analyse campaigns, create segments and draft campaigns. The connection authorises the chosen third-party AI agent to access account data; request volume is not a paying-customer or retention measure.

02 · Conversational channels

Direct Meta and Rakuten access meets a programmable RCS API

Vercom says it signed direct agreements with Meta for WhatsApp and Rakuten for Viber in Q1. It also launched an RCS API that lets external systems or AI agents trigger personalised messages and return user actions through external IDs and webhooks to CRM, CDP, e-commerce or order systems. MessageFlow's current documentation lists email, SMS, push, RCS, Viber and WhatsApp in one platform. The agreements and API disclose channel access and capability, not channel-level customer, traffic or revenue figures.

03 · Customer engine

The customer base scales as surplus gross profit goes back into acquisition

Vercom reported 131,200 group customers in Q1, up 34% year on year after 8,100 net additions, with services sold in 180 markets. Paying email-API users more than doubled to 7,300. Management says it is reinvesting surplus gross profit in customer acquisition, and sales-and-marketing spending rose quarter on quarter because of that investment. The presentation does not disclose retention, churn, acquisition payback or the share of AI-assisted signups that became paying.

  • Current signal131,200 customers · 8,100 Q1 net additions · 7,300 paid email-API users
  • Why it mattersReinvestment can widen distribution only if additions remain paid and retained; headline customer growth alone does not establish that outcome.

04 · What to watch

Three questions for the next disclosures

Three questions track whether AI access, conversational channels and acquisition spending convert into durable paid use.

  • MCP conversionDo AI-assisted signups become retained paying accounts, and do MCP requests remain above the April level?
  • Channel adoptionDo WhatsApp, Viber and RCS produce disclosed two-way traffic, customers or revenue rather than only new capability?
  • Acquisition qualityDo net customer additions and paid email-API users keep growing, with retention or acquisition-payback evidence?
