Company profile
Tailor-made journeys, active travel and places with a story
Voyageurs du Monde combines bespoke travel design with a portfolio that stretches from high-touch tailor-made journeys to trekking, self-guided walking and cycling. The operating model is unusually tangible: specialists shape the route, an app and local concierges support the traveller, and the group also operates historic places including Gandhi's former Johannesburg home and two Nile vessels.
Tailor-made service
The trip is designed, carried and adjusted as one service
Destination specialists build each route around a traveller's needs and interests, so no two itineraries need be identical. The service continues after booking: airport fast-track, pre-booked seats, local concierges, a 24-hour helpline and an offline app place the itinerary, accommodation, contacts and mapped recommendations in one place.

The 2025 report divides group revenue among tailor-made travel at 55%, adventure travel at 30% and cycling at 15%. The portfolio links Voyageurs du Monde, Comptoir des Voyages and Original Travel with adventure specialists including Terres d'Aventure, Nomade, KE Adventure and Mickledore, plus Eurofun and other European cycling operators. KE alone offers hundreds of active journeys across almost 100 countries.

Places with a story
A museum-house and Nile vessels make the itinerary tangible
The group reports three wholly owned guest properties and two Nile vessels. Satyagraha House is the Johannesburg home where Gandhi was hosted by his friend, architect Hermann Kallenbach, in 1908 and developed the ideas that became Satyagraha; it is now a museum and guest house. In Egypt, the 24-cabin Steam Ship Sudan preserves Belle Epoque Nile travel, while the seven-cabin Flaneuse du Nil offers a smaller sailing-boat format.

Lower-impact travel
Flight choice, longer journeys and property retrofits meet in one model
The group's English resources show both reduction and absorption measures. A flight calculator compares aircraft, route, cabin and occupancy; rail and electric options reduce emissions at source. Satyagraha House uses solar power, Flaneuse combines solar panels with recycled electric-car batteries, and Steam Ship Sudan has been refitted to reduce fuel and energy use. Group brands also finance certified reforestation and rural-energy projects.
